- These digital pictures were
obtained after a frustratingly long pursuit along a north
Norfolk coastal path during which this stunning Barn
Owl hunted into the oncoming breeze and
stubbornly refused to face the camera. Fortunately
persistence (and plenty of exercise) paid off and it was
eventually possible to obtain a few in flight photographs
in reasonably good focus. The light was poor so these
images have therefore been cropped and had their
brightness reduced in order to slightly enhance the
colours of the rather faded originals. This has enabled
the plumage detail to be seen in greater detail. This
bird has been ringed on its right leg.
