• These photographs of a Barbel and a Chub illustrate just two of the apparently numerous species of fish to be found in the River Sorgues at Sainte-Affrique in the South of France. As can be seen from these pictures, taken from some distance above the river with a 400mm lens, the water is remarkably clear.
