• These large bush crickets were very common in the area of Tuscany (Toscana) in which the photographs were taken. Brown and green forms occur (as will be evident from these pictures) and the antennae are incredibly long. The spiny nymphs were presumed to be of the same species as the adults by association and the photographer would welcome any correction if they have been misidentified.
