                          RED-BELTED CLEARWING Synanthedon myopaeformis

• The above sequence of captured mini-DV stills shows a freshly emerged Red-belted Clearwing Moth drying out on an urban Midland Hawthorn. The empty pupal case is shown in the top illustration with the moth in the background. This species superficially resembles a solitary wasp.
